'Don't Breathe' (2016) is a thrilling movie about three friends who live a rough life in Detroit. Before they decide to leave Detroit, they rob a blind veteran's house in hopes to find the cash settlement that he gained as a result of his daughter's death. The three friends expect it would be an easy robbery judging by his disability, yet the youngsters soon find themselves trapped inside the home as they begin to fight for their lives and discover the terrible secret hiding under the blind man's house. Don't Breathe manages to keep you excited and terrified for the entire 1hr and 28mins of the film. It takes you on a crazy ride and insane plot twists that leave you completely dumb founded/ mind blown.

I remember that when I first saw the trailer of this movie, I wanted to watch it. Now for me, thats strange/ different because I don't enjoy horror/ thriller movies because I get too scared and take them way too seriously. However, the concept behind the movie interested me and the fact that it was different from other horror/thriller movies that comes out of Hollywood intrigued me. A major point in the film that really interested me was the ability of the film to change the perspective of the three teenagers, as the veteran becomes a powerful character with a disability and forces them to also lose their eye sight by turning off all the power in the basement, which evidently causes them to be on an even playing field... yet the blind veteran is seen at an advantage as he places markers on the top of the hallway that he feels to help him find his way around in order to hunt down the uninvited guests in his home. 

I would definitely recommend this film to anyone who is looking for a good thrill and a movie with a WTF?! moment because Don't Breathe  definitely has those moments that make you just stare at the screen feeling completely mortified. This is by far my favourite movie so far in 2016 and I would definitely recommend everyone to watch it with friends as you'll find it much more enjoyable than sitting alone in your room freaking out. When your with friends everything becomes a little bit funnier, as you know you're not the only one crapping their pants in fear and wanting to rip your eyes out because of the crazy things your seeing. Also when you're with friends it's okay to yell at the screen as if the characters can hear you and follow your instructions.
